Colson Hicks Eidson Recognized by Chambers USA as Leading Commercial Litigation Firm
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (June 15, 2010) – Coral Gables-based law firm Colson Hicks Eidson has been recognized as one of Florida’s leading commercial litigation firms in the 2010 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, an annual directory that ranks and reviews leading firms and lawyers in an extensive range of practice areas based on in-depth interviews with lawyers and their clients conducted by a team of independent researchers.
Partners Dean Colson, Mike Eidson, Roberto Martínez and Curtis Miner were also recognized as “Leaders in Their Field.” Law firms and individual attorneys are ranked in bands from one to six, with one being the best.
The firm received Band 1 recognitions in commercial litigation for the second consecutive year, as did Martínez. Colson was recognized as a ‘Senior Statesman’ and Miner as an ‘Up and Comer.’
Chambers USA lauded the firm’s well-recognized status and reputation, noting: “Colson Hicks Eidson is one of Miami’s oldest and most accomplished law firms and is considered among the top trial firms in the United States, having won hundreds of multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for its clients.”
The Colson Hicks Eidson partners were ranked in the following areas:
Dean Colson – Recognized as a ‘Senior Statesman’ in the area of Litigation: General Commercial. A ‘Senior Statesman’ is a lawyer who no longer works hands-on with the same intensity but who, by virtue of close links with major clients, remains pivotal to the firm’s success.
Lewis “Mike” Eidson – Recognized in the area of Litigation: General Commercial.
Roberto Martínez – Recognized in the areas of Litigation: General Commercial, White-Collar Crime, and Government Investigations.
Curtis Miner – Recognized as an ‘Up and Comer’ in the areas of Litigation: General Commercial. The ‘Up and Coming’ band lists those who do not yet have an established reputation but who are driving their firm’s growth.
The annual directory continued its recognition of the firm’s reputation and leadership in its core practice areas noting: “This litigation boutique is widely respected as one of the top plaintiff-side firms in the state. Renowned for handling huge class action lawsuits, the team particularly excels in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Other areas of expertise include construction litigation, aviation law, appellate, dispute resolution, professional malpractice and white-collar criminal defense work.”
