CORAL GABLES, Fla. (August 9, 2017) – Coral Gables-based law firm Colson Hicks Eidson was recognized as the Top Boutique Law Firm by the Dade County Bar Association at its second annual Legal Luminaries Awards Gala. Additionally, Partner Patrick S. Montoya was honored as the Top Products Liability Attorney and Associate Latoya C. Brown was honored as the Top Attorney Under The Age of 40.
The Dade County Bar Association is the largest voluntary bar association in Florida. The peer-reviewed Legal Luminaries awards program is designed to honor the top attorneys in Dade County as voted on by their peers. Registered attorneys throughout the state cast their votes to determine the winners and nominees in the respective categories.
The Gala was held on July 26th at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, and is said to be the largest of its kind in Florida with 33 categories of practice recognized. Jeffrey Rynor and DCBA President Jordan Dresnick served as co-master of ceremonies. Colson Hicks Eidson Partner Deborah J. Gander accepted the Top Boutique Law Firm award on behalf of the firm in front of a sold out crowd that included the “who’s who” of the South Florida legal community.
“We are honored to be recognized by the DCBA and by our peers in the legal community as the Top Boutique Firm, and we are especially proud of Patrick and Latoya for receiving top honors in their categories,” said senior partner Dean Colson.

A fellow of the American Bar Association, Montoya is a member of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association Board of Directors, and currently serves as co-chair of the Davidson College Alumni Chapter for South Florida.
