According to KXAN, a rollover traffic accident on the South Side of San Antonio left four people dead. San Antonio police say the wreck happened early on March 24, after the driver of a Chevrolet Trailblazer lost control. San Antonio Police Department officials and paramedics responded to the crash just after 2 a.m. near an Interstate 35 and I-10 exchange.
Four people, two men and two women, were ejected from the SUV after it rolled over several times, and all four died from injuries they sustained in the accident.
I Was Seriously Injured After My SUV Rolled Over. What Do I Do Now?
Sometimes car accidents result from defective vehicle design, and flawed automobiles cause a significant percentage of severe car collisions. For example, SUVs may have stability issues that make them more likely to roll over.
Although the introduction of electronic stability control systems has helped to reduce the risk of a rollover, SUV rollover accidents continue to cause serious injuries and deaths throughout the United States. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were 6,753 SUVs involved in fatal car accidents in 2011, of which 31.4 percent rolled over, the second highest rate of all vehicle types.
