bicyclist is dead following a hit-and-run accident involving a Dodge Ram pickup truck in Miami, according to WFOR-TV. The incident that claimed the cyclist’s life took place near the intersection of SW 216th Street and 169th Avenue at around 6:45 a.m.
Witnesses say the cyclist was in his 40s and rode through the area on a daily basis. Following the collision, the pickup truck fled the scene, leaving the cyclist to die.

Miami-Dade Police are seeking help from the public as they continue to hunt for the hit-and-run driver. According to police, the driver’s vehicle is described as a 2010-2015 dark metallic gray Dodge Ram pickup truck. Reportedly, the truck has damage to its right front headlight and is missing a plastic facial under the damaged light.

If a Hit-and-Run Driver Is Arrested, Does That Help Victims or Their Families?

Unfortunately, even if the hit-and-run driver who hurt you or killed your loved one was found and charged criminally, a conviction in a criminal court is not guaranteed. A criminal conviction will also not assist families with mounting debt from hospital bills, lost income, rehabilitation costs or funeral expenses.
