Miner, recently featured in American Lawyer magazine as one of 11 “hot” hires in the country, has been with the U.S. Attorney’s Office since 1999. Miner is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Harvard Law Review. After graduating, he clerked for Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Portland, Ore.
“We’re excited about Curtis joining us,” said Dean Colson, partner at Colson Hicks Eidson. “The trial experience he gained during his tenure at the U.S. Attorney’s Office is invaluable. His academic background is first rate. It is unusual to find someone with this combination.”
Miner, 36, is not the only firm member with experience as a federal litigator. He joins former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Roberto Martínez and Susan Tarbe, former Chief of the Economics Crime Section for that office.
“Curtis’ experience fits perfectly with our practice,” added Mike Eidson, partner at Colson Hicks Eidson. “We are doing an ever increasing amount of complex commercial litigation. We had the opportunity to get one of the best young litigators in the country, so we took it.”
The Law Firm of Colson Hicks Eidson is a full-service trial law firm with over 35 years worth of experience handling local, national and international litigation. Partners at the firm have also had the distinction of holding the following offices: President of the 55,000-member Association of Trial Lawyers America; President of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers; President of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers; President of the Dade County Bar Association; United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida; and Chairman of the Florida Federal Judicial Nominating Commission.
