Florida Man Falls 30 Feet Off a Bridge After Blowout

An entire family was rocked by a sudden blowout on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Saint Petersburg. Their SUV immediately started to spin out and crossed several lanes of traffic before coming to a rest in the inside lane facing oncoming traffic. Luckily no one was injured, but their ordeal was not over. Fearing for his family’s safety, the husband ordered his wife and daughter to flee while he stayed behind to change the tire on the SUV. With traffic coming straight on, there were several near misses and eventually one vehicle came too close. The man jumped back against the bridge’s barrier wall and lost his balance. How Did A Tire Blowout Cause A Rollover On Florida’s Turnpike?

On July 9th, a vehicle rolled over after losing control in the northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in Osceola County. The vehicle crashed, flipped over the median, and landed on the southbound side of the highway. Three of the vehicle’s occupants were rushed to a nearby hospital with minor and severe injuries, but a father and son were pronounced dead on the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol are investigating the crash, but the police believe they already know what caused the accident. A spokeswoman for the Florida Highway Patrol has stated that they believe a tire blowout or sudden deflation of a tire caused this horrible accident. Does Tire Failure Happen Often?
