It’s a rather new tradition—the Eleventh Judicial Circuit’s Professionalism Committee has only held the event four times. However, the Annual New Attorney Breakfast has quickly become a new way for local law graduates to get a sense of the legal system in Miami-Dade County. That’s why it was honor to have one of Colson Hicks Eidson’s partners speak at the event and help guide young minds with in our strong legal community.
Breakfast is a Good Place to Learn How to be a Lawyer
On Friday, September 23rd, judges and veteran attorneys from around the Miami-Dade area gathered at the Fourth Annual New Attorney Breakfast to share their guidance and experience with young legal minds. They talked about being civil in the courtroom, delivering the best legal practices available, and they talked about what it takes to be a true professional in our community. Among these esteemed speakers was Colson Hicks Eidson partner Patrick Montoya, a shining example of professionalism in Miami-Dade.
Patrick has served on the Executive Committee for the National Conference of Community and Justice, he has also won several awards for his dedication to the law and helping others. His legal experience is seasoned, and he has worked on a variety of cases from class action and commercial litigation to product liability and construction law. There are very few people who can give young lawyers such a wide sampling of what Miami-Dade’s legal landscape looks like.
